Absolutely loved Jurassic World. And hey, look, it's Blue! 100% recommend seeing if you like adorable raptors.

Also I tossed on some feathers because why not.

Blue! <3 I just got back from seeing the movie and I agree, the raptors are amazing.

I just hope they don't fumble like they did with Jurassic Park and make some rather...less good sequels. Cuz they knocked it out of the park with this one imo.

Just like in the first park, all the dinosaurs in Jurassic World are female. Though this time I'm guessing Dr.Wu made sure to NOT include the ability to change genders, hehe. As far as the names go... Delta and Echo are names befitting females, Blue is directly referred to as a girl, and Charlie can be used for either gender. ^^

Lol I know about name genders xD !
I just thought one was a boy :3

Dr Wu lived so might be another movie!
You think so?

*shrugs* Depends on the success of this one, I suppose; I, for one, don't want another. =< It'd tarnish all the... IDK... The message of sort, of this one. We know that the park is gonna close thanks to this incident, and following the obvious sequel hook to using dinos for military purposes even though, as Blue so nicely demonstrated, that tactic would backfire SO bad, would seem like WB is just trying to squeeze the cash outta the franchise. And other than that military thingy, they don't have all that much else to work with.
The whole concept of playing God and how hoomans ain't ready for it has been explored to its fullest, and in the previous movie they've shown off what could happen if the dinos started 'evolving' in this new world and before THAT what would happen if now wild dinos were brought into civilisation. This, with the designer dino beaten by the original creatures, would be a nice, fitting end for Jurassic Park as far as movies go in my meager opinion. ^^

Sorry if I rambled; I'm just IN LOVE with this movie, and am scared that this might trigger a series of far less worthy sequels.

*stares blankly at dad who just suggested an Aliens and JP crossover, headdesks*

o-o Ah.. I see.
And is spelling "Hoomans" another way of saying Humans in some other places
of the world or?

And this is the only one I've seen. So I don't know much ~! uwu;
Not that big into those types of movies. I prefer sticking with Disney/Dreamworks/Pixar etc.

Agryo In reply to MrNASM [2015-06-14 01:36:39 +0000 UTC]

It's just how I like to spell it for my amusement. I like making fun of the human race, so I call us hoomans when I can.

Awww; you've missed the references to the original JP snuck into this one then! It's aged rather well, methinks. Or maybe that's just nostalgia clouding good judgement. X3
I just. Don't do movies often. XDD I stick to the stuff I've loved since I was a kid, going out to see new movies doesn't interest me much. Except when it's something I knew as a kid[Hobbit films and this], in which case. *LEAPS*
Am I the only one who's sorely upset that Disney's been shying away from the 2D movies? ;^; I just loooove that style of animation so much!! *hugs The Lion King and Aladdin especially close*

Exactly! Xenos are scary enough...
Xenoraptors... GO AWAY DADDY SHTAP WAI YOU DO DIS

Well, Because Disney and DreamWorks were Once rivals but now "Friends",
Disney follows behind DW now, doing 3D movies.. I guess it's because it captures More attention
than the 2D used to. I wish Disney would go back to 2D too, My username used to be Disney-Ink haha. uwu !

A guy from the Hobbit recently passed away Christopher Lee? Or something. ;;

Agryo In reply to MrNASM [2015-06-14 01:45:28 +0000 UTC]

Disney does good 3D and all, but. Sad that they aren't sticking to what truly made them stand out compared to the other companies. ;^; But nuuu. They gotta follow the leader....
Cool old SN! ^^ I've always been Agryo on DA though. Still sorta-new-ish-but-lost-the-new-smell here.

Christopher Lee was Saruman in all the LotR/Hobbit movies. ;^; My dad and I had a few moments of mournful wails/silence for him; he was an awesome actor.

Oh weird.
._.;

I guess the male ones would've been too hard to control and probably a bit bigger too. o-o
Are male T-rex bigger than Female ones O: !?

mewhaku In reply to MrNASM [2015-06-14 01:18:27 +0000 UTC]

Did you see the first film or read the books? =o Just curious! They mention in the first film/first book that they make the dinosaurs all female in order to prevent breeding. Spoilers if you haven't seen the first film/read the first book- due to some of Dr. Wu's 'added DNA' from a frog that can change gender, some of the dinosaurs turn male and said breeding happens anyway, making for some rogue raptors running around if I remember correctly.

In Jurassic World, I assume they keep them all female for the same reason, except this time they seem to have not used that frog DNA that caused them problems before. Having a bunch of males also probably would've had some effects on populations regarding territorial behavior, although I'm sure having all female groups could do odd things to that as well.

If I am also remembering correctly from what I've read in some paleontological texts, female T-Rex in particular may have been bigger than males as well, but I could just be pulling that off the top of my head without a source.

No. I'm not into these types of movies.
I went to see it with my brother and mom.

c:

And right, The Females were bigger! Which is odd since..
Not sure how.. you know they did the dirty since he was shorter than her - just weird.
Even thinking about it. Their little stub arms .___.; ...

mewhaku In reply to MrNASM [2015-06-14 11:58:17 +0000 UTC]

Sexual dimorphism usually exists to get optimum offspring- a smaller male would've had to really garnered "permission" from a female to mate, hence the best and stronger would get to have children. Bigger males in a species usually just overpower any female/fight for females against other males and mate on a larger scale. So... yeah. Taking with a grain of salt that once again, speaking from the top of my head, not looking at any textbooks or anything.

Not all species necessarily mate in ways humans would normally think. Eh.
