Description
This is a map for my alternate history timeline, The New Athens. The Timeline is centered mainly around the New Netherlands, but there are other things as well. The world shown above is the aftermath of the Great European War, the equivalent to the 30 Years War. It ended in an anti-Habsburg victory, in which Spain lost quite a bit of land all over Europe, as well as Cuba, Hispaniola, and Florida. Austria lost very little land, however, and actually gained some from the Ottomans. The Commonwealth, however, lost land everywhere, from Turkey, Russia, Sweden, Brandenburg, and some others. Portugal also got it's independence from Spain. Currently, Spain is expanding it's interests in OTL Georgia and the Carolinas, with the recently founded colony of "Hispania Nova".
