Description I once honored the 'Fractalic Rhinoceros Lacemaker'

with this grandiose bezel

Now I wanted to mount 'The burden of intellect'

in the frame it was worthy of.

Mandelbulb 3D, Photoshop postwork.

Thank you Kelley.
I try to encourage others to try out their own hybrids.
Because I know how much there is to find in there...
I could post which formulas I used for this one though, if that would be of interest...

I make my own all the time but when
you come across one that looks this cool you
wonder what you could do with it. My mind
is always churning lol I still would love a
try at it. You can send it in my e-mail if you
want

Very cool, great perspective. You say you do your DoF in postwork, what technique do you use. I ran int a problem with using MB3D DoF last night, don't ever use DoF over a Noisy MB3d Image, that noise aint coming out after DoF has been run.

MANDELWERK In reply to Len1 [2011-09-17 14:13:43 +0000 UTC]

Thanks Len!
I use the Zbuf-image as a layer mask in Photoshop.
In a layer under the image with the layer mask I put an exact copy of the image, which I blur with, for instance Gaussian blur... I could explain better I guess... Might put up some screenshots next week if you'd like.

I got ya, I see what your doing. I used a Raw image from MB3D without the DoF and Ran the Noise filter to get rid of the noise then tried a Zoom Blur of 1 pixel, it worked for that image but that wont work in all instances.

OK, great, never tried zoom blur, got to give it a go some day!

wow, fantastic image. Looks like some kind of alien cathedral. I really like the sense of depth and space in this image. It lends the piece an almost eerie qaulity. Great work
