Thanks for the comps. A while back my friend and I tried to cast our own DBZ live-action film, since we'd heard Fox was planning on making one (which hopefully fell through, because I doubt anyone could make a good one at all). Our proudest selections were Samuel L. Jackson as Piccolo and Ed Norton as a particularly psychotic Vegeta. For Goku it was a toss-up between Bruce Campbell and Jackie Chan, but how can you possibly cast a character like him? I wonder if the actor has been born yet. I saw how you manipped Vin Diesel, so he could be a convincing Piccolo, at least for appearances sake. It would be interesting to see if he could pull off some of the subtle humor attached to the character, but he's clearly bad-ass enough to portray Piccolo's mean side.

They'd ruin it somehow. Unless the original maker of a sorce is involved the movie or movies usually tend to suck.

I just can't see a good live-action DBZ movie being made, even by the Japanese. What I think could be pretty cool would be a OnePiece movie directed by Terry Gilliam, it would be kinda like The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen but with more up-to-date special effects. That would be cool. Dragonball just has too many quirks to work outside of a cartoon environment. It would be like making a live-action Simpsons movie, it could never work at all.

I hear that a lot around here, but that's ok. Someone must love these characters, so why not I? This was probably the last action cartoon that came along that I really gave a damn about, so maybe I'm clinging tenaciously to my childhood. Although Onepiece is growing on me quite a bit. Anyway, I appreciate the kind words!
