Description A few of my watchers requested a tutorial for the smaller birds, so here it is (not much different from my other bird tutorial, but oh well....)

For people who haven't seen my other tutorial, check it out here: [link]

Sorry the pictures are a little fuzzy. I kinda rushed this >.<

Deidara is property of Kishimoto-sensei, not me.

do you have to use bake dry clay of is it just faster to use? I'm just wondering since all I have is air dry.

Isn't it better to paint the birds white first, then the eyes?

can you just use sculpey?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Malindachan In reply to kisame31 [2010-09-13 03:05:01 +0000 UTC]

you can, but they'll probably be more delicate. you just have to be careful so they don't break.

Malindachan In reply to Sweeneys-Kitten911 [2010-07-14 01:37:21 +0000 UTC]

well, I've seen people use normal sculpey and paper-clay or Model Magic. Super Sculpey is probably the most durable though

kinda just combined some slabs of clay until I had the right shape, and added a few more slabs for the arms.
I cut out the mouth last before I baked it

I was wondering, do these break easy?
I'm thinking of going to the anime con as Deidara and having all the clay birds in a bag XD
Or maybe just clay in a back XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Malindachan In reply to Ergonina [2010-01-12 22:59:07 +0000 UTC]

after they've been baked and cooled, the clay is very difficult to break (super sculpey clay is supposed to be shatter-free)
