Description
Soon after Superman perished in battle with Doomsday several new vigilantes appeared in Metropolis. All of them to some degree claimed ties with the Man of Steel, but only one of them was his direct relative. Arin Sur of the House of Sur, Superman's sister, was too late to board the last Ark ship. Instead she dashed in the laboratory where her father worked and stepped through the experimental portal which sent her to the Phantom Zone. Arin was trapped in there for several years - but she was set free by a mishap in S.T.A.R. labs, and the years spent in the Phantom Zone strengthened her body and gave her powers similar to her brother's. Now she has to take up his mantle and continue to wield the insignia of the house of Sur on Earth. Now she is the one and only Supergirl.
