i like this, its simple and yet interesting to look at at the same time. i like the concept also, and the top left one reminds me of those balls with suction cups on them that stick to walls and stuff...*random*

Very good render, really, but since you wanted critique ) I think it lacks color bleeding, I don't know if your renderer is capable of it... try using a global illumination algorithm.
For example - consider the very lower left image. The white bottom should have a slight blue cast on it in the immediate vicinity to be completely realistic.

So coloured and so pop art looking ! It's kinda rinbow made of cups.
I like the first image you get at the first sight of it. And my favourite is the top left corner one, the spoted sphere.
