I wish I were a lighthouse.......all clean and painted white.....
This a deeply personal piece for me. One of the most difficult for me to compose, and stay composed for.
My father used to recite only the few lines of a poem that he could remember. He always loved lighthouses.
I do not know who wrote the poem. Of even if the poem exists outside his mind. He loved it, though.
And every time I try to go to him, he throws an obstacle at me. Leaving me expected, yet stranded.
Death is not nearly as bad as not living...
...At least in death, you can rest.
I miss you, Dad.
I'll probably end up trashing...or revising or doing something with this one.
