Description An old commission I made nearly a year ago, for the same friend as the Indonesian map. It takes place in the same universe, albeit in the 1920s and focuses on Eastern Europe.

In this worlds analogue of WW1, called the Second Atlantic War (1910-1915), is fought between Atlantic Alliance of France, Russia and the US and the Berlin Pact, consisting of Germany, the Netherlands and Finnish rebels. The Germans follow a "Russia First" strategy and eventually the Russian government falls and the Tsar flees to neutral Britain. Germany sets up puppet states in the east, but looses the war in the west to the Franco-American forces shortly afterwards. With Germany in Civil War and the Russia descending into warlordism and anarchy these new states begin to affirm their own independence.

However, as the 20s draw to a close, threats are beginning to emerge. Germany is recovering from the devastation of the Second Atlantic War and is once again attempting to exert influence over Eastern Europe. At the same time, whilst Russia is still in anarchy the border regions with the Eastern European states is a dangerous place, with regular raids across the borders. Against these new threats the states are starting to band together in the hopes of better defending themselves should the time come. But as tensions mount between this new Alliance and the resurging Germany, only time will tell what the results will be.

You can quite easily tell that this is an older map of mine. For one this it is colourful, something I really need to experiment with again at some point. It also utilises a similar sea texture used in my Latminis map.

Anyway, comments are always welcome, especially over which style is generally preferred, this colourful design of the more uniform colouration of the Indonesian map.

Personally, it looks good as it is. Though making it look older might help.
