What the heck even is minimalistic design

So I was thinking of making a background for my twitter, and I decided to make it with those weird geometric shapes that I used to do for my character art (I'm forcing myself to make more actual backgrounds for illustrations)
I have no clue what I'm even doing, but I like it, so I guess it's fine. Really this one is just a shitpost drawing taken too far, so might as well post it.
