Photo references help a TON. I literally had one of my friends lie on the floor so I could take a picture of her to use as reference. ;>
Otherwise, general practice always helps as well, and picturing the various body parts as simpler shapes is also helpful.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunatly I don't have any friends that I can pesture to do a wacky pose for me. 
You wouldn't happen to know a really good book on human perspective would you? I've been looking for one but most are very generic or I kinda know already.

Figure Drawing for all it's Worth I think has some specific stuff on perspective.
Hogarth may have a book on perspective, but I'm not sure on that.
