The year is 2089. The New Dictatorship of Florida has left America in utter shock. After the revolution in 2075, peace was expected. It seems that Marcus, the governor of Florida who has been kept alive in a Cryogenic Cell has ordered all Floridians to join with him against America. America's President Harold R. Bush has closed all trade and communications with any other countries. Florida is under siege by American forces. No evidence has yet been found of the supposed attack on Japan. All ships have either been rerouted or destroyed. Russia has expanded it's reach over all of Europe and the main world powers have yet to decide what to do. China has completley annhiliated all of the countries sorrounding it and is currently at war with India. Israel is now at war with over thirty countries including America, India, China, Russia, Kuwait, and New Iraq. Nuclear war is near.
Marco has been living in the Cornwell's shelter for the past thirteen years and is feeling antsy. Being in the Goodsman's Militia has left him and his family torn apart. The last time he saw his father he can't remember but he does remember what his father always said. "Never lose your band, for it is the most precious thing we own." Marco had been given a band at birth that was strapped to his arm. The band's inscription said: "Thus thou shalt die a death of nobility." Strange symbols strayed all around the incription.
Erin was stolen from her family when she was only two years old. Living with the Cornwells all her life has left her tough and hard. Being whipped at night and escaping to the shelter at night has left her torn between two worlds. Her involvment in the Goodsman's Militia is a rumor passing through the underground Commlinks.
