it's done with corel painter IX.
i usualy use digital water colour at the begining,then i dry the layer and use tinting tools at the end.

tinting brushes .i think they're at the bottom of the brush type list.
i use them mostly because of the blender brush ;D
dry the layer.. digital watercolor brushes are "wet" if you can call them that way ;D that means you can't fuse the digital watercolor work with some other brushes until its dry. so you need to dry the digital watercolor to use the tinting blender. ;D
i dont know if this is clear enough ,but maybe you'll understand ;D
