Coming from a rough household, Alice grew up quickly. Having to take care of her mother and brother, she grew into a very caring if stubborn character. She is rarely persuaded from her original vision or idea, even if it isn't the best thing for herself. Though, she is reliably stubborn at least. Alice is also reliable in the normal sense, and is also rather doggedly loyal. She would never willingly betray someone but this comes with the bad end of keeping them from trouble. No matter how little.

tw: neglectful mother, absent father and general poor living situation. Oh and death.Alice's story wasn't always the best. Her childhood was rather decent at least. She had her whole family in the beginning, and it had been joyful. She grew up on a farm, while they were slightly poor they were decently well off. Able to dabble in pleasantries and the occasional fancy Christmas. She had a wonderful Poochyena named Max, who grew with her. Max was namely the family herding Poochyena but was specifically under Alice's care as she was the one who wanted a canine Pokemon.

Max and her grew happily, Max evolving around the time Alice became 16. However, this is when the downturn began. They had awoken one morning, their father missing with only a note in his place. He had fled, no longer willing to raise the family. Alice's mother fell into a dark depression, Alice tore up the note in a fit of rage. Alice became the main provider for the family, taking on more farm duties along with some odd jobs to fend money wise for the family. She grew hardened in this time, but she can't deny while tragic this was good for her growth. She grew, learning that maybe she had been too sheltered. However, while she realized this for herself... She began to shelter her brother, never wanting him to feel the grief she had.

She stayed with them until not only her mother had passed but also Max. Her brother assured her, he would be fine on his own. After all, he had the best sister to raise him. She and her brother stayed in touch through letters, it was through him that she learned of the Nozama region. Mainly, she was intrigued by the mystery of the new region but was largely pushed into going by her brother as he wouldn't go. He never fully explained his reasoning, but Alice assumed it was his wife not wanting to get up and go to some mystery region with some already confirmed missing people, especially with kids on the way. Alice went in her brother's space, him paying to get her there despite her wanting to pay herself. Caring siblings and all.
