Cool! I bet it looks great. (Did she work with the raptors? So many people I know who work with animals end up with tattoos of their charges, hah. Can't say I haven't been tempted myself...)

She took over my position as Raptor Centre Lead when I moved down to Florida to train macaws at Animal Kingdom.

So much admiration for your jobs. So, out of curiosity, which do you find more scary/dangerous to work around: raptor talons or macaw beaks? (My personal vote is for macaw beaks due to a certain incident a few years ago that involved one of my fingernails... I haven't yet been taloned badly enough to have a solid point of comparison)

The capability to inflict damage is similar, but it's a crushing/cutting injury versus a crushing/puncture injury. A large raptor-- say, a golden eagle-- has the capability of inflicting far more severe injury than the largest macaws, but on a day to day basis I respect them equally! I've been footed and bitten by both, and I'd prefer to avoid either.
