Yaaay this is so good Lydia, I really enjoy the process and it's so nice to see how everything is done! Love your way of shading, and (reading the below) I didn't know you were a photoshop user! I'm starting to transition to photoshop as well. xD Full time, rather than partial. I realized the brushes in SAI are way outdated, and I'd want something more modern. It's a very nifty little program

hehhee good luck with it! I think photoshop has the highest potential as an art program.. but well, it's more complicated than most.
Hmm I don't use SAI that much, but I think you can always download SAI brushes here on DA? there are lots of free brushes.

Same xD I've used it as an editing program since I was in 7th grade, and had photoshop elements.
I think so too... there's so much potential for using photoshop on a computer. And I think the complexity can be a good thing, because there's more tools at your disposal. I've used a lot of different art programs, and I still think photoshop is the best.
SAI does have a bunch of brushes you can download, however: there's a limited range for how many you can have + they don't always have the same effect as photoshop ones, due to the poor bit rate. I used my Vivabrush for so long, because it was the only brush I was truly satisfied with.

Oooh I see.. Hmm but I really like the smoothing feature of SAI, it helps a lot and I kinda miss it in Photoshop.
Oh.. and one thing. I can't make circle in SAI xD

With photoshop elements, there's less features for a more affordable price (for example, pen tool, and wet brush don't come with it, alongside some other features) but some argue it's better because it's more stable, and it's easier to use. There's also a different way of adapting textures and effects, as well as other features, but I can scarcely remember how it's done since it's been so long since I've used such xD Plus, the undo key is much more efficient (just Ctrl Z and that's it), but you can easily configure the undo key for your tablet on the original photoshop. So in the end, it's like photoshop - but for beginners xD
Same XD I've gotten used to it though... I actually like picking and choosing colors in photoshop. When you mess up though, it's really hard to get it back on track... you practically have to paint over the entire thing again if you're not using layers :'D
Very true xD Although there is a sneaky way to go about it... it requires a lot of unnecessary effort xD That's why programs like Lazy Nezumi Pro exist XD

Oh I see... a simpler Photoshop, that's a great program. I think many ppl struggle with PS so PS elements would be a choice.
