I adore bison, yet this is my first time every painting/drawing one. This is a problem.

I'm astounded at what fine detail you get into these things. Lovely textures on the bison's fur and the rim lighting works very well for defining the form.

It can be super tricky actually packing detail into such a small space, plus the texture of the feather makes things even harder.
