Here is an entry for *mechanicalkat 's contest where we had to design our own Bolts.I think those critters of hers are so cool, I had fun making this one and researching some neat minerals. As the title says, this Bolt is based off the mineral Azurite. They're so preeeetty.
It was either Azurite or Malachite, which actually go hand in hand.

How neat to base it off minerals, that is a creative idea for a creature. I love how you coloured this beast and the colour you used looks nice too. The shading is beautiful especially on the scales going down the side. Does the fur cover parts of the body or is it hanging down from it? I was just wondering if the creature was really slender or if parts of it were covered in fur. I love how you did the face too, especially the soft velvety fur on it. The ears are also a gorgeous shape.

I'm pretty sure that the fur is hanging from the underside of the body, otherwise it would make for intensely skinny creatures.
