Shippo picked up his toys and they walked out of the wells shrine. "Hm. It's good to be home. Now, lets go inside."
As they approached the house everyone looked around in amazement. As they walked past the Scared Tree, Sesshomaru raised a questioning glance at Kagome. "It's the same tree Inuyasha was bond to, yes."
"Hn." He looked at it for a moment then continued after us. As they reached the front door. He looked out into the city. He family's shrine sat on to of the hill they had the overview of the whole view of Japan. Kagome stopped and looked and saw him, she walked over to his side.
"A lot has changed within the 500 years from your time.." He nodded, she smiled. "Come on. Let's get you inside." She walked him over to the front door again with a slight limb as she opened the door, she called out. "Hey Mom! I got company!"
"Kagome?" Her mom called from the kitchen. "Bring them in."
"Ok." She smiled, "no shoes please." Then she remember Rin and Shippo didn't wear shoes. "Oh.." Sesshomaru slipped off his boots as she took off her shoes as well. "Alright follow me." She lead them into the living room where sat Souta and Grandpa.
"Kagome, welcome home deary." said grandpa as he sipped his tea.
"Welcome back sis.Is your leg ok?" Souta said turning around to see his sister noticing she was limping slightly. She smiled and nodded then let the others in. They both looked shocked to see Sesshomaru walk in. Rin and Shippo followed in after. They sat down at the table with her family. Their eyes looked from Shippo to Sesshomaru to Rin.
"Souta, Grandpa. This is Rin, Shippo and Sesshomaru. Shippo is my kit, Rin is Sesshomaru's ward. And Sesshomaru is .. Inuyasha's older brother." She introduced each one of them to her family. Then her mom walked in.
"Welcome home dear." She smiled them examined her new group." She sat down next to grandpa. "So what brings you home after so long?"
"Well mom..and grandpa.." she gulped. "Well we.." She grabs Sesshomaru's hand. "We.."
"We are mated and I plan to make her my bride and I came for your blessing." Sesshomaru said plainly like it wasn't a big deal. Kagome blushed hard.
'He was so blunt with it..' Kagome giggled nervously. Kagome's mother smiled.
"This is oh so sudden.. Uh.. may I have a word with Kagome?" She asked. Sesshomaru nodded and let them leave the room.
Rin looked at Souta, "So you must be Uncle Souta!"
Souta grinned, "Y-yeah I guess I am."

Kagome and her mom went to the back room. "Kagome, who is that man?"
Kagome smiled, embarrassed. "He is Inuyasha's older brother. But, he is a full demon unlike Inuyasha only being a half demon."
"Hmm.. what ever happened to Inuyasha..? I thought for sure you two were.." Kagome stopped her mother from saying anymore. Bringing up Inuyasha still hurt her deep inside.
"It's a long story... I don't want to talk about it.." Kagome looked down.
Her mother looked at her, "Well do you love this man, Sesshomaru?"
Kagome looked up to her mother. "Yes, yes I do."
"Does he love you?"
"Yes." A male's voice came from behind them. He stood their proudly, "Sorry to interrupt but, I thought it'd be best to discuss this as a whole family. If we are to be wed." He stand at Kagome's side and holds her waist. "I want our families to be one."
The woman smiled, "What a gentleman." Mom noted. "Ok, well let's go back it ok?" He nodded and they all walked back to the living room. They told stories, played board games well tried to teach Rin and Shippo to play them. With a few interruptions of grandpa trying to "purify" Sesshomaru. But, his attempts were in vein.
When it got late the children slept on the floor using the seat pillows. Kagome gave them a goodnight kiss on their foreheads then lead Sesshomaru to her room.
"Well that went well.." Kagome said slipping into her night clothes. Sesshomaru stood behind her and stopped her from putting her pajama pants on.
"Those won't be needed." He said, softly in her ear the started to remove his armor down to just his kimono.
"But,.. what if they can hear us?" Kagome asked embarrassed.
He smirked, "We are soon to be married. Plus, I'll be gentle.." He nipped at her ear and kissed her neck.
"Ok." She smiled, turning toward him he picks her up and takes her over to the bed.
