Description Two European Wolves having issues. The dominant wolf was really furious, but if you look closely, his ears are talking a different language and show that he's not as sure as he pretends to be.

Breeding season is full of disagreements... but all these "attacks" are highly ritualized and they usually don't harm each other seriously. But as a matter of fact, European wolves usually tend to be a bit tougher and aggressive with each other than North American wolves.

I am a bit of a wolf nerd; I love the snipets of wolf facts and info that you provide with a lot of your photos. You said that the dominating wolf isn't as confident as he seems...is it because his ears aren't pressed forward? Typically a wolf that means serious business has both the ears erect and pressed forth and an offensive snarl right?

I love this wonderful capture but I must applaude you for your amazing comments or description of the picture. Very well put analysis, are you a researcher by chance or just a wolf enthusist that takes amazing photography of wolves? Either way amazing work.

Really? Wow that is so awesome, I am currently putting myself through college, I am a junior now, to become a veterinary medical technologist so I can with animals but my passion is certainly wolves. I want to work with wolves and the people who love them, hopefully working for a sanctuary this summer. You are so welcome! Thanks for helping out wolves, they need all the help they can get

Thanks, yeah, and the interesting part is that this was happening about 10 feet away from me. This is nothing special with wolves that are hand-reared, but although these wolves are quite habituated to humans, they usually still keep a distance and somewhat distrust humans. But in that case they've had something better to do Also, they found out that I'm harmless *g*
