Hey everyone,
you have no idea how happy, relieved and proud I am to finally post this illustration. It's been taking me way too long to create and finally it's time to share it with the world. Ever since "The Legend of Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom" came out and I watched my Boyfriend play and explore the story, I felt the need to draw Rauru, first King of Hyrule in an epic shot of him about to attack!
Rauru is a very interesting and nice character that I enjoyed seeing in the game's cutscenes, so I figured I might give it a try to draw him^^ Boy, did I regret this quickly. Not only did I start working on this piece on my iPad, which I merely grab to draw in my freetime or when being out of house, but I was not prepared for the amount of details this character design posesses. All the jewelry, accessoires, long hair and so on and so forth truly made it a challenge for me to finish this piece, but at some point I realised I was too far in to not finish it. I wanted to keep going! And even though the hype around Rauru has died down pretty much, I couldn't stand the idea of abandoning my drawing, I felt the need to still share it online.
I had a lot of fun seeing all these things come together and I'm extremely happy with how his face and overall pose turned out! The colour scheme was super interesting to work with as I placed Miasma behind him to complement the overall torquoise colours in this battle against the Demon King.
I'd really love to hear your feedback. I truly hope you enjoy the piece as much as I do now that I finished it and I would very much appreciate it if you could help me spread it out there so more people can see it. I put a lot of time, work, heart and effort into it. Thank you in advance!
