Hello everyone!^^I finally had some time to finish a drawing of my favourite ship - SpitDash - again^^ Oh my gosh, I soooo love this piece and it's most likely my favourite drawing of the series of my Simple Style Ships.
To begin with, I know Octavia and Vinyl / Lyra and BonBon seemed to interact a little more than thoise two who are just looking at each other with warm eyes and a smile, but I felt the composition was right for them this way and I can promise that more Spitfire / SpitDash pictures will follow^^ Nevertheless, this is my favourite so far because I'm happy how the character's facial expressions turned out, how they look and mostly because of the colours of this picture. First, I had problems with finding the best colour scheme possible, but it worked out so well, I was so so happy and enjoyed the progress even more than I did, already^^
Somehow, working on it was difficult or challenging here and there (making sure their heads aren't too small or too big, shading simple but effective etc.), but enjoyable at the same time and I think it was definitely worth it.
I did this one as some kind of christmas present for myself since I wasn't doing anything for myself, drawing my favourite characters/things at all, lately, because I want to create so many christmas presents for others to make them smile. So I'm happy that I had a little bit of room and time to make this one^^

I do not know how much of a reader you are, to give you a sense of scale, 132K words is a bit less than Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. How good is it? Pretty damn good. Out of the 204 stories I have fully read, it is on my Favorite folder, along with 16 other fictions. I am not an expert, but I hold it in very high regard.
So what is it about? It is just another fiction shipping these two...but damn, is it good.

i think they look really cute, i mean honestly the ears also make the
pony ya know. im sure not too many people notice them but i mean
they are one way they show mood and what not. I just always found
how you do them interesting and well cute. i think its part of what
sets your art apart from others.

Ears do indeed show how a creature feels, especially ponies and I enjoy making different ones for different emotions^^ I actually barely noticed how much they say about a character but I thank you for pointing it out
