Lovely picture of that couple although it's a shame she died because of him. I think I got the song to go with this pairing. It's from "All Dogs Go to Heaven". Here's the part that goes with them:

I found another art that is kind of like this one. One thing that makes curious of just how big of an act Barkis had to have put on to make Emily believe that he loved just as much as she loved him. Any moment like this would have definitely been one of them. I have a hunch that, like Bonejangles said in "Remains of the Day," her father disapproved of her relationship with Barkis was not just because he was poor, but because he seemed untrustworthy and was likely only pursuing her to get his hands on some of their money. But I think that Emily was so blinded by love and her belief that Barkis loved her, too, that she refused to listen. ...And sadly, that's what cost Emily her life.

I told the artist of the other picture that I found a story on FanFiction that I really like, one that details the couple's meeting through Barkis's point of view, from when they meet to when he kills Emily. And she has another story much like it with it being about Emily. I forgot to mention on that art, though, that my best guess (even the author seems to think that in her story) is Barkis killed Emily by hitting her in the head. It would explain the song line "everything went black" because she would get hit hard enough to fade into unconsciousness (the "black") and then death right after. Besides, if he hit her enough, that would slow her down in trying to stop him or get away from him because of the pain. Also, you see a mark on her forehead that obviously looks like a bruise. I kind of think that he may have stabbed her in the ribs, too, which is why her corpse has an open rib cage.

So anyway, this is really good; they really do look like how they do in the film. With Emily, she's so beautiful in death, so she had to have been gorgeous when she was alive.
