Personality : Somewhat childish, she’s been very sheltered her entire life. She can be quite stubborn, and foolhardy. She hates being delicate and girly, and is more likely to challenge you to an arm wrestling match, than a fashion show. She is actually very socially awkward. She finds amazement in some of the silliest situations, and finds any sort of ceremony or performance to be very dull. Foolhardy but not courageous.

Quirks: She used to be terrified of Dark/Ghost type pokemon, due to the “tradition/religious” nature of her upbringing. This posed quite a problem, because she’s actually naturally talented in raising/training dark/ghost types, and for some reason they are quite drawn to her.

Of course, this lead to very awkward situations when she first started her journey. Even now she tends to subconsciously be weary of them, but has mostly gotten over her fear.

She’s very smart, but unbelievably dense at times, due to her upbringing. Unfortunately, this can lead her into very haphazard situations, and bad luck sometimes just emanates from her.

Back story : Wow… Her back story is much more in depth than this, but here is a summary:

Rain comes from an incredibly religious area, where people worship a mysterious pokemon God said to live in a sealed shrine located on the island. She was a ritual performer and dancer, which most children on the island are. They have always believed that all ghost and dark pokemon are evil, and only wish to steal souls. At 15, her father, one of the “elders” exiled her when she questioned the beliefs, and completely botched an entire ritual. When exiled, people are forced to leave the island through and underwater cave, which is swarming with Sableye.

It was in this cave she encountered a Sableye, who unknowingly devoured an important crystal necklace belonging to her. Once it saw how terrified and upset this had made her, it followed her through the cave, attempting to make it up to her. He tried to keep all the other Sableye away. She continued to shun it away, scared out of her wits of this “demon.”

Finally she made it through the cave, the Sableye still following her. Rain tried everything in her power to make it go away, but to no avail. It had taken a liking to her, and intended to find a way to apologize. Eventually she ran into a Pokemon Trainer, who was very confused at the situation. He handed her a pokeball, and suggested she catch the Sableye, which obviously wanted to go with her. She broke down and obliged. She then continued to travel with her new trainer friend.

Rain continued to call her newly caught pokemon “Demon” and the name stuck. Eventually, she warmed up to the pokemon, realizing that it wasn’t evil, or after her soul. In fact, after joining up with a few more trainers, and traveling, she found she had an affinity towards Dark and Ghost types.

Eventually, through a long journey full of twists and turns and epic battles, she and her other trainer friends returned to her home island. Still shunned by her family and people, she becomes even more hated when it’s revealed that she trains dark and ghost types.

After some intense situations, the group finds themselves inside the shrine, where they find out a dark truth about the island. The “God’ they worship is nothing more than a fake, made up by the “elders” ancestors long ago, so that they could become the political powers of the island. The people refuse to believe this, and the shrine ends up being destroyed, with our rag tag heroes almost killed in the commotion.

Rain then left the island for good, and travels with her close friends to simply enjoy life.
