Wow, I actually finished my painting in time. It's still not dry, so there are a few reflexes in the wet paint, making it challenging to photograph. But at least it's done

I dream of being one

The thought behind this painting is kind of a long story, but I'll give it a shot:

Five years ago, I was diagnosed with a bowel decease that changed and now occupies large parts of my life, and something strange happened: I started thinking of myself as two separate entities; body and soul. I keep thinking: There's nothing wrong with me, it's my body that has failed me, keeping me prisoner. I really want to do something with my life, but I'm constantly restrained by my body in so many ways I cannot get into.
Consequently, I'm dreaming of getting better, and uniting my body and soul back into cooperating, making life more than just a waste of time. Life is too short and precious to have it any other way.
