Matter of factly, they do have complete control. It's the full moon where shit hits the fan, so to speak. Just today I finished a piece featuring Eleanor here in that state, should be uploaded soon-ish. Probably.
Other than that one time a month werewolves get to switch as much as they want with limited side effects, as long as it's night time.
