Description I'm in a noir/pulp obsession these days, this got somewhat transported into my editing of an oldish shot of Dolly Lamour .

Originally concoted as a simple fashion shot, now it hopefully gives a more "and they never found the husband's body" vibe... she looks evil enough, and you know that black leather gloves are the mark of a villain!

EDIT: the background is photoshopped in, but I lost the name of the stock I got it from (it's on DA)... so if you know the user or the stock account please let me know so I can credit him/her!

Great shot. The combination looks like a book cover. Either as you think, but you can easily change the genre by adding someone in the background:
a) Add a mysterious (good-looking) stranger in the background = Romance novel.
"Who was the stranger Lucy met in the harbour?"
b) Add a mysterious (bad-looking) stranger in the background = Mystery novel
"A recent widow Lucy could find no peace, strange sounds could be heard at night in her house and Lucy felt she was being followed by strange men whenever she was out. What was the secret of Lucius Manor?"
c) Add a mysterious (old-looking) stranger in the background = Drama novel
"Lucy looked like a fine lady, but her looks belied her poor background in the shacks along the seaside. A background that now came back to haunt her."

....Oops, sorry, got carried away here by your picture.

Oh this is perfect for sure, two go for a long walk on the pier, only one of them comes back and she is already wearing her mourning black. The thousand yard, sinister, self assured stare really is enough on its own to give the greatest scare. The posture of her hands in the pose is very much a sign of something wicked has just been done. i can see her running the thought through her mind as she fiddles with the fingers of her leather glove, " if the glove don't fit, they must acquit" Little did the ailing fellow know what his beloved had in mind when she promised his family that she would take him to see the Doc.
