First and foremost, Hua is reserved in many- if not all- aspects of her life. From her personal life to her demeanor on missions she keeps her emotions in check and does not often share her opinions or displeasure unless prompted. This often leads people to assume she is cold and that isn't entirely off the mark. She harbors little tolerance for rule and law breaking, and if she notes someone as such an unruly individual, Hua is short in their interactions. A traditional upbringing heavily contributes to her black and white views; attempts to change her stance on right and wrong is like pulling teeth. Things tend to be a bit of a case by case basis in reference to her sense of justice, though. Those who are like-minded comment on her determination while others call it stubbornness. Such things hold little to no effect on Hua, so long as she meets her commitments, she’s her own font of self-assurance.

That being said, it's hard to tell when she's preparing for an actual mission or just performing good maintenance practices. Moments of relaxation for her are few and far between and tend to lead her to turning down social calls. MEMORIA:
Unsurprisingly, Hua does not divulge much in the way of her upbringing beyond the fact that she grew up in Great Lungmen. Before joining Rhodes Island, she was reported to be seen roaming; not at all making an effort to hide her presence. And why would she? Hua was often seen offering medical assistance by way of her Originium Arts or plain old medical knowledge. It's suspected that her life in Great Lungmen was a great contributor to her abilities. Up until joining R.I., she remained adamant about not joining any factions, regardless of their motives towards helping the Infected(or otherwise). Do not be mistaken- this isn't out of the trademark Lungmen disdain towards the Infected. Hua herself has voiced that she simply doesn't believe in groups that have approached her, preferring to stand by and confirm their intentions of good.

It wasn't until an ambush on a camp she'd been staying on the outskirts of that she finally decided what she was doing wasn't enough. One of the remaining stragglers of the camp remarked that despite Hua healing and even joining in the combat herself, that it simply wasn't enough to hold off the Reunion squad. Most of the camp perished, Hua's story when asked in her application to Rhodes Island matching up with ■■■■■■'s statements. Hua Lin's stance since then has simply been that there's strength in numbers.
