I participate in a traditional contest from my country via facebook. There are 3 winning spots and one of the is a popularity prize. The prizes consist of coloring markers, some manga from my country, some manga related magazine. It's nothing much but they are interesting prizes. The drawing I entered the contest is the traditional sketch of this drawing.
If you will check there are drawings with a lot of errors or which are heavily referenced of other animes that have more likes and that's because people beg for likes or have more friends on facebook. I don't have many friends that would vote for me on facebook. I do have 600 facebook friends but only a small part of them would vote for me. I'm also not the kind of person to roam around facebook and beg for likes. I am asking you that if you like my art and want me to win ..a like it's all that it takes.
Old OC. She is part of a Circus crew. Under the wings from her hat are some small horns that she is hiding. She was banished from her family because she was believed to be of demonic nature.

Oh. My. Damn. I haven't seen your work in so long (horrible internets) but I saw the thumbnail of this and it blew my mind all over the place (the less I say about what happened to mind when I saw it in full, the better). You've improved so much from what i saw last! The amount of detail is simply incredible, and the gilded look of the gold is so realistic, I'm jealous. Seriously, for all my effort, I can never make gold look metalic. Are you still using mangastudio for color, or have you upgraded to photoshop, because I've seen many people using photoshop who's technique can't compare to this.

I don't like photoshop that much. I know how to use it but I like a mix of Sai and Manga Studio. I use photoshop just to adjust colors. I have both Manga studio Ex 4 and Ex 5 now. I still like Manga Studio EX 4 after all these years. It's awesome for clean linearts. I tried illustrator as well. Meh. It's going to take a lot more to make me part with my beloved smith micro manga software XD. I have all I need here and using SAI is actually nice( combined with MS of course).
I like drawing golden stuff.It's funny because IRL I never wear golden things. I always go with silver.

I used Sai and Manga Studio EX 5. The traditional sketch took around 70 minuntes and the digital sketch took 3 hours or so.
