Still another of this comic revising Spider-Man: The Animated Series' Secret Wars adaptation to be closer to how the three-part episode was originally planned to go (and marginally more faithful to the original comic book storyline).

After Spider-Man, the Lizard, Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman and the Human Torch meet up with Dr. Doom and Ben Grimm (the latter revealed to have been given a device enabling him to return to human form and change into The Thing at will), Victor Von Doom removes his metallic mask to reveal that he's mended his scars.

Reed Richards, unsurprisingly, isn't buying Doom's claims about only wanting what's best for his subjects and not being a tyrant, certain that Dr. Doom is only ruling the aliens for self-serving reasons. Doom isn't pleased by this slight, so he orders everyone to be imprisoned until they are held on trial for the crime of treason against New Latveria.

Ben tries to convince Doom to just let his prisoners go, but Doom won't listen and won't admit that he's no better than the other villains who have laid siege against this planet.
