Description
In the late 90s Tim Burton was set to spearhead a film titled 'Superman Lives'. Nicolas Cage was cast in the lead and before the project died in a mountain of debt/red tape it was set to be one of the weirdest ideas in superhero culture at the time. Since then it has garnered a huge cult status in the 'what if' Hollywood forums and I have always thought it would be interesting if Burton were to retry the project but this time in his inexpensive stop motion animation style (i.e. Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie). And while this drawing obviously isn't in that particular style (because its kinda boring to draw ~ stick people with bobble heads for the most part), I drew this to help create an idea of a strange new vision for the Man of Steel and one far less likely to repel the audience that grimaced at the thought of a live action Nic Cage Superman twenty years ago.
