My first entry into the world of Deviant Art! I have galleries elsewhere, but for whatever reason, I was always hesitant to jump in here. But, with all the incredible talent contained on this site, it made it hard to resist. So, here we go...A while ago, I started a series on the Olympian gods. I had wanted to do Poseidon from the start, but it took a while to get the chops up to deal with the water – and it still nearly had me down for the count! Water is a PAIN to render. Or at least, it is with my poor computer. I could hear it chugging along like the little engine that could, but it still had trouble keeping up with the demands that water puts on the processor. After wrestling with it for nearly a week, with about 12 separate passes for the water, I managed to squeeze it out. *whew*
Partially created using a Poser base figure with a tonne of Photoshop work afterword, to add painted hair, folds in cloth, water magic, etc.
