This picture is great for a small Christmas gift! The overall idea is lovely too, but I don't know if it's completely original or not.
First off, love the colors! The berries and the leaves really contrast together and create a lovely scene reminiscent of a romance scene with two little animals. I don't know who they are. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a… " width="19" height="19" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="417" title="Sweating a little..."/>
The focus is also excellent! You positioned your camera at the correct area, and the subject is clear enough to be separated from the background. However, if your camera has an additional option for a smaller f-stop, why don't you set it to a lower aperture so that the subject can be focused more? e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="349" title="Aww"/>
Composition usually involves placing the subject not too far from the center, so this is a pretty good example on how to use composition clearly.
However, the background color is too similar to the subject's main color, and it can cause confusion among where the subject is. And although the leaves on the berries can guide the viewer to the subject, the berries are too similar to the background shapes and colors.
Also, the edges of the subject is soft, which I like because it makes the picture look cuter; but you might want to sharpen it a bit more, so it's enough to distinguish the subject from the background.
Overall, it is a very good piece, but for color blind people, the colors might look the same! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="93" title="XD"/> But still strive to improve in your photos. They're getting better! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="15" height="13" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="357" title="Heart"/>
