I always liked seeing people make OCs out of different things, like fruits, vegetables or stones and always wanted to make one myself, but never had an idea how my character would look like.
I really suck at designing clothes (oh the irony, when I was a kid I wanted to become a designer, lol) so that was also a reason why I barely draw my own characters and just stick to a fanart.

However, I have this very special thing in my collection that is the engagement ring with tanzanite and little diamonds So one day I just thought about drawing something inspired by this particular stone, which is actually one of the rarest stones in the world. I made myself a color palette out of 6 random colors that I picked from one of the photos of the ring and tried to stick to only this palette + the usual black and white colors. Of course with the blending modes and post processing it obviously looks like there are much more colors.
Also this time I wanted to kind of embrace the lazy part of me and draw it as quick as possible but not make it seem like an half assed work. So when I felt like dropping the project because of the lineart (see, that's how lazy I am, I can't even draw the lines after I finish the sketch .___.) I actually switched to coloring and shading instead and only then added a very delicate lines there and there. But because of that change of routine I actually tried out a slightly new style and I SO LOVED drawing the hair.
