Supposedly, he is a supersoldier made to guard and protect the common good from insidious elements of society, especially at places and times where official response forces may not respond to such adversity in time. One moment, he is like ice, and the next moment he is like fire. Sometimes he can be a little bit bonkers but still competent. He was like this even before the Great Change, and rumors suggest that the project may also be an attempt to understand the mind better, and to find ways of treating mental disorders. Others believe that the "personality swipes" may have been a side effect. His face shield is a durable carbon-material resembling glass that can withstand a lot of punishment. As you can see, it is black but it is capable of producing digital faces to depict the man's personality side that is active for the moment.
