After Rainbow Dash joined the Wonderbolts academy and dealt with the drama of Lightning Dust, Spitfire started to notice her skills and integrity. RD was accepted back into the academy as leader rather than a wingpony, and not only impressed the Wonderbolts with her flying skills, but also with her teamworking skills. She helped out the other pegasi training there and gave them tips, and if anyone fell behind during a race or game she'd fly back and help them out; knowing that she was so more excelled that the others that she'd still fly ahead and get 1st. Rainbow Dash was free on the weekends and some weekdays, so that's when she hung out with her friends (and thus the episodes we've seen wondering what happened to the academy). After about 3 months of hard work and training, the Wonderbolts selected a few of the trainees to qualify to graduate. They would have to take a test about the history of the Wonderbolts, and if they passed, they'd graduate to the next level, where they'd train with the Wonderbolts themselves. This didn't mean they were full Wonderbolts yet though. Just a big step forward. So, Rainbow Dash was of course one of the selected trainees and she passed the test with flying colors. She was so excited to start training with the Wonderbolts! She'd trained with them before, during the Equestrian Games, but that was just for fun. In just a few months, she'd be one step closer to achieving her dream.
Finally after 5 agonizingly long months, Rainbow Dash arrived beaming at the Wonderbolts stadium in Cloudsdale. She almost flipped out as much as she did with Daring Do, but remembered that only annoyed celebs, so she played it cool. Fleetfoot and Soarin automatically recognized her (from the training for the games), and congratulated her on making it here, much to the other rookies' annoyance. After a while the Wonderbolts took a liking to her, ad started asking her if she wanted to hang out or watch their shows. Of course she accepted whenever she could, and got to see what they were really like. Rainbow was a little disappointed to find that they were all sucked up in being famous, they mostly only cared about themselves. (Like when they kept Soarin in the hospital just because RD was better, even though he was so close with them) But Rainbow wouldn't have it. She lectured them the next day at training about how they're a team and they need to be loyal and look out for each other; and they became even more impressed and fond of her for fixing their team. Rainbow spent about a year training there, and it was a dream come true. She impressed the Wonderbolts, and became friends with quite a few of them; mostly Soarin, Spitfire and Fleetfoot. Although she'd never forget her friends in Ponyville, the 3 Wonderbolts were almost her new best friends. Then, after years and years of practicing and training and wishing and hoping, RD finally achieved her dream and the Wonderbolts gladly accepted her into the team, officially. Her friends (including the wonderbolts) went in for a big group hug to congratulate her. She had never felt so emotional before, she almost cried; but she was Rainbow Danger Dash and she sucked it up. Now being able to perform with the Wonderbolts, RD got even closer with them and now they were practically family to her. She became a fan favorite, with her signature rainbow trail and sonic rainboom. The Wonderbolts sure were glad they had her, she made their team even more popular. This was even better than she had ever imagined, and it was real, it was her life now.

Rainbow Dash had never really thought about Soarin being more than a friend. She liked him, and thought he was hot, but she was too busy with living the dream to ever think about relationships. But one day that changed, when Soarin FINALLY asked her out. She had never seen him so nervous and awkward before, he just blabbed on about how he really liked her and wanted to date. She had to stop him by kissing him, and said 'Of Course'. Then she flied away and snickered as he swooned a little. RD and Soarin dated for a few months, which was of course the talk of the press, and were pretty happy. They fought a few times, like if he was insensitive about something, or think he's cheating on her when fans get a little too crazy. But it all worked out in the end. Working at the same job they were around each other all the time which was really nice, because if they didn't they'd probably be too busy to hang out. After a while Soarin moved in with her, and not too long after she got pregnant. Soarin wasn't afraid of commitment, just never though about it, and even though they'd only been dating for 5 months they were really close, so they decided to get married. Soarin proposed to her a week later and they got married after a few months. Pinkie and Cheese planned it for her, and it was the most awesome wedding ever. The Wonderbolts performed their best for their friends' wedding, and only certain ponies were invited. Princess Twilight Sparkle married them (as requested by RD) and after 6 months, RD had their first kid. He was a pale blue Pegasus colt with his dad's green eyes, and he had blue hair with primary streaks in it. They named him Primary Streak, and everypony called him Ri. Although they still worked as Wonderbolts, RD got a maternity leave and Soarin got scheduled for less shows so they could raise their colt.

Primary was a lot like the stereotypical RD's first kid his mother; cocky, a skilled flier, stubborn, and loved a challenge. He wasn't as hard working and determined as her, but still wanted to be a great flier and become a Wonderbolt like his parents. He had very strong wings so he had the advantage of speed, but he wasn't nearly as agile as his mother. He'd rather race long tracks than do tricks and stunts. He's best friends with Midnight and CC. Everypony calls him Ri for short, but his sister teases him and calls him Mary.

A few years later Rainbow Dash got pregnant again, and they had their second foal; a purple Pegasus filly with gold eyes (like RD's dad), and long fluffy black hair with rainbow streaks in it. They named her Rainbow Storm, and her nickname is Storm. She was really lazy and chill, and would rather nap on a cloud than become a Wonderbolt. She has pretty good agility and strength, but doesn't train or practice to become a good flier. She has a good sense of humor and is very popular among the other fillies. Her closest friends are her brother, String, and CC.

Primary got his cutie mark when his parents took their kids to one of their shows, and he snuck onto the course before the race started. He flapped his wings as hard as he could and zoomed past the cardboard training racer, which was impressive at such a young age because the racer was set to the equivalent of the average adult pegasi. His mom heard the buzzing of young wings and saw him winning against the training pegasi racer. Impressed, she met him at the finish line and asked him to race her. They both knew he would never beat her, but he accepted anyway, and although she went easy on him, she was impressed to see him keeping up with her. She nodded in encouragement and flew up to the clouds, which he followed, and she tested him to clear them. Although he was already tired, he strived to impress his mom, and cleared the clouds as fast as he could. He finished in about 15 seconds and then flew a primary rainbow over the stadium as the audience started flooding in. His mom cheered for him and gave him a ride back down to the stadium and brohoofed him. Beaming, his cutie mark popped up as a three primary colored lines coming together to a point. It signified his talent for straight speed, but he was overjoyed nevertheless. His family hugged him and Soarin had the announcer announce that his son had just earned his cutie mark before the race started. The crowd of course went wild because they loved hearing about RD and Soarin's love life and family. Primary basked in their cheers and knew he wanted to be a Wonderbolt some day.

Storm got her cutie mark when she wanted to play outside but a big thundercloud loomed overhead. Annoyed by it, she flew all the way up to the monstrous cloud, and even though it was dangerous, flew inside it to get rid of it. With her speed and agility she dodged the thunderbolts and kicked the center of the cloud as hard as she could. The whole thing rumbled around her as it slowly imploded and turned into moisture. She arrived back at home soaking with an accomplished smile on her face and a mark on her flank. It was a dark storm cloud being pushed away by a rainbow lightning bolt. It represented her lightning reflexes, her daring courage, and talent for dealing with weather.

Nowadays Rainbow and Soarin have retired from the Wonderbolts as veterans, but still do things like judge contests or help train rookies. Ri is training to be a Wonderbolt and is almost there, much to his mom's pride, and Storm works at the Cloudsdale weather factory and enjoys laziness and hanging out with friends.
