Commision for *karliashi of her character equine character Prelude! He has snow coming out of his mane, and I added some to his hooves as well. Call it artistic license if you will!

Please look more and try to come up with a better descrtiption of what you think is wrong and how it could be improoved. Photoshop-ish is a terrible way to describe something as it could mean pretty much anything.

I know D: I'm sorry, it was 1am here and i was making my last rounds (half falling asleep on my key board)
The horse is wonderful, and the movement really works well, but I think the back ground almost takes up more of the attention with that bright pink-ish tone, don't get me wrong, it would look lovely in perhaps another picture, but it sort of detracts from the subject..
Perhaps if you used another color, like teal, or maybe a pail blue.. something cool colored, it would play off the snow better, or contrast more pleasingly with the dark horse.(unless the commissioner wanted the pink, then I understand there is nothing you could have done)
My art comes no where near yours, but I just thought I would chime in.

Aha! Now you make much more sense! ^^ Hmm, I see your point now - the client did however specificly ask for an aurora in the image, and I thought that since it seemed important to her, I should let it take up more room. I tried a cooler version, but I felt it blended too much into the background and that the pink lighting was more dramatic!

This is so beautiful, I lovehow you colored the sky, it makes the horse blends and contrast with it at the same time. The snow effect coming out of the mane and tail, and hooves is very wisely thought, you r just and artist who gives inspiration to others, you incredible....

You always draw the prettiest things, I love seeing all the detail you put into these pictures, I totally looked for the deer for like 30 minutes last night and didn't see them, I came back by to look at the pic and in passing found them, omg lol I'm a fail!
The sky is freaking amazing, but I love the pose and the colors on the horse! SO PRETTY.
