Wriglina snoozing away in the dark of night, with dreams of fighting a dragon...

Story time! This was something I created for one of my college classes where we had to do an art project relating to sleep. I chose to do a two-part piece related to dreams since I had an idea for a piece about Wriglina dreaming I wanted to realize partially based on one of my own dreams. Now that the project is pretty much behind me at this point as I work on the final project for that course, I can finally post these here! (The second part will be posted momentarily)

On to this piece itself. I tried out some new techniques here such as darkening a scene as though it's night, and placing another scene above the one below, representing dreams or thoughts and being separate from the layers below it in SAI, and I gotta say, it looks FANTASTIC! I especially love Wriglina's expression as she sleeps as well as in her dream with her holding a fireball and staring a dragon (originally was gonna be a kong-like monster) down. And I gotta admit, Wriglina looks kinda cute when she's sleeping like that >w<
