Description
Revisited that model and reworked geometry and armature. While doing so I wanted to test out how the new volumetric rendering works in Cycles with stuff like fire. The last time I used BI to render the flame and put it into cycles. Now I wanted to do all in cycles. Quality still seems an issue in Cycles as I could go up to 256 division levels and it still didn't improve beyond this point. I also wanted to reworked the toon shading and cell shading material. It's now all working on one single object without double-object tricks. Experimented here with a 3-level shading. I'm not sure if it's better than a 2-level shading. All in all I wanted to make a toon scene with dynamic poses adding some 'punch' to it. I wanted to place emphasis on the motion with the wing pose and some toon like effects. I though about using also a whosh type effect but somehow this didn't work well with a turn-table. Maybe somebody has an idea.
