Mephistoles!
Another OC of mine ^_^
For some reason he reminds me of Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter...well...Johnny Depp is my favorite actor...maybe that's the reason.
A little info about Mephi - as I call him. ^_^
He is a Chimera (mix between lion, snake, dragon and goat)- like William. But he is the snake part. (Willy is the Lion part)
He's about 1.60 m high. He has red and wild hair. He lives in a castle (where William and some other people lives) they're all dressed in Victorian style. He is a funny little thing who always ends up in getting in the way.
He's also William's butler - or whatever you want to call it
He has blue eyes - but red when he's a snake.

This is almost a copy of a character of [link] . Eventhough it is your style and it is well drawn and coloured, it's not enough personalized I think. Make him more original next time

First of, they don't have the same clothing (and the clothing style is from the victorian era) They don't have the same eyecolor, eyshape, eyebrows, eyelashes or lips. They don't have the same hair type, but they may have red hair..but how many people don't have red hair, or drawn OCs with red hair. (that may be straight or curly) They may have the same color on the glows, but in the victorian era almost all men wore black or brown glows, and rich men had rings. They don't even have the same skin or head type. My character is a happy one, but his is more of a serious type. So I think it's wrong of you to say it's an almost copy of his character. They also have different hight, backround story etc.
To be honest, I was not trying to copy his character - in no way. Though I can see why you think so - before you look at details. I got the inspiration from The Mad Hatter by Johnny Depp (something I've also said in the description.I therefor made his hair red to not make it look too similiar to The Hatter) and the series "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens.
But if you still think my character is a true copy, I can add some "originality" on the next drawing to make him a little different. But I won't change how I have made my own character.

If you're talented enough to draw your character that well and even to give him a background story (and I can see you've got references too), why don't you imagine him as a completely different and unique character ?
What I mean is, look at these characters of yours : [link] I can clearly feel the inspiration from Zephyrhant, but they're your characters, they don't look like any character of anyone else, and to me that's what make them really awesome. With all the references you have, like Dickens and Tim Burton, with the story and world you created, I think it's a pity that the first reference that come in my mind is Zephyrhant because your Mephistopheles and his character look alike too much. Eventhough some differences do exist.

Well, in the description she said the character kinda reminds of the mad hatter (Jhonny Depp, etc). I think personaly that too, and she admits it. The artist you speak of kinda have the same thing going on, so if it's anything to "remind" of, it's Tim Burtons work. Besides, if you take a good look on the other drawing he haves of "Rivershire", they're not that much alike. (look closely at the hairstyle and clothes: [link] , [link] )

I know. He is one of my inspirations.
I have not tried to draw his OC, or anything like that, nor tried to take his style. I draw my way and get inspration from many artists.
