Description I'm a fan of the old Beauty and the Beast series from the late 80's and I'd recently devoured the first season on DVD. Vincent had always struck me as so beautiful - a majestic combination of beast and man (and hey, I've got a thing for half animal, half human critters and that's not entirely obvious from my favs ), so, enabled with the pause button, I had to try and capture him. This is very rough, the darks are uneven (with a very distracting line near his mouth - grrr) but still, captures the fellow. Ron Perlman and Rick Baker, you rock.

i really like your sketch, IT`S VINCENT YYAYYY, i know beauty and the beast is the best fairytale i think, love vincent and catherine, but she diied at the end of season two/beginning of season three, it`s not fair, i was in tears

Aww, thanks It's a beautiful story indeed. I've never actually seen the last few episodes of season 2, and haven't touched season 3, for the same reason. I didn't really want to see Catherine die, because I know a piece of Vincent would die too. And I heard the last season isn't really that good anyway.

I think that'd be cool. I'm sure you could make this even better than it already is. I actually like the "unfinished" look some art can pull off. But, I'd totally love to see what you could do with this as a full on project.

I am a huge fan of Ron as Vincent in Beauty and the Beast. You have captured him beautifully here. Like you I've always been 'strangely drawn' to the exotic and Vincent was absolutely perfect.

yeah he still does that to me after all these years. There is one scene in Nor Iron Bars A Cage where he tells her to take the job in Providence. He says she will meet someone and live another life, dream another dream... and he looks so dejected. I want to catch that expression. He did angst so well.


Convention:
One of the people is running a myspace page... he is the only one that is techie... the rest is pretty much snail mail and telephone. It's driving me nuts. It's in ColverCity Ca.... We are taking a trip back out to the tunnel entrance again and having a picnic nearby.

He certainly did! The expressions he was capable of with just a tilt of the head... his eyes are incredible expressive. Aha! I checked it out Very cool. There's no chance of me getting over there for it, but, perhaps... the next one?

Btw, I started watching the series again, to remember what scene the pic above comes from. Didn't have to go too far - it's from the pilot, shortly after she's first seen him and her scars. She says 'Tell me it's a nightmare... that it didn't happen'. And he looks down at her, before telling her that it did happen.

Excellent job. I hope you do lots more. Do you plan to show them at our con in July?
You picked a great picture to reference... what episode was that from?

I don't see any distracting lines.. it all goes together nicely. I tend to go even darker with mine. I start with a #2 pencil and a stump... and end up with a charcol pencil for the last lines. Layer one, blend, layer 2, blend, charcoal, blend, charcoal, define. Oh... and then eraser to lift highlights.

Second season will be released July 7. (Happy Happy Joy Joy)

It's actually scanned alot lighter than the drawing, my comp at work must have a different gamma set up than my home comp. Thank you for the compliments Your work is just so beautiful I shall have to experiment a little more as I usually just grab a B and go for it. %)

I had no idea of the con actually - do you have a link? As for the episode... hmm.... I'll have to take a quick squiz through the eppy's again to find out I was just absolutely caught by his expression there, and had to freeze the dvd and draw. He does that to me alot
