Background

Jason Kennedy was a popular football star who broke his leg in his most recent football game. After leaving the hospital he attended a field trip to a science exhibit with his teammates during which a prototype machine used to breed the DNA of different arachnids and anthropods to create genetically Superior animals backfired and caused the function which caused the building to go into lockdown. Due to his recent injury, he was trapped under a pile of rubble during which chemicals near the insect breeding machine spilled onto him while he was trapped under the rubble. This event caused several mutagenic changes to occur within his body and cellular makeup by splicing his DNA with that of the Genetically Enhanced spiders. He was later escorted out of the Rebel and thought to be family wounded however much to the doctor's amazement his body had made a full recovery within hours due to his body adapting to the injuries and repairing itself. He at first used these abilities for Fame by using them to give him an Edge in his football career which bolstered his ego and made him vain. That is however until one day when he got a call from the hospital saying that his little sister had been shot and sent to the emergency room. It turns out however that the one that shot his little sister was a disgruntled fan whom he ignored while practicing. He later hunted down the incredible fan and attended to kill him until realizing that isn't what his sister would want. He left the thief trapped in a web cocoon for the police to arrive and take him in. Ever since that fateful night, he's used his powers to help the ones less fortunate than him by taking up the Persona of a spider-themed vigilante named Anansi.
