Well, I get points for it, it broadens my art horizons, gives me a chance to try different styles I wouldn't have attempted before, gets me out of the box... Makes me practise my art... That sort of thing.
In other words, it makes me try to accomplish what any artist should, which is to explore different styles, even ones I'm uncomfortable with to begin with, to create my own art style
