Description
some of the artwork from level 2 of the CBBC Leonardo game. the middle section shows leo and his friend lisa attending a ball in order to catch the bad guys who are trying to sabotage the party. leo is preoccupied with finding a way to the roof while lisa only wants to party and dance! it was really fun to draw. some level 3 stuff coming up tomorrow.for more Leonardo artwork, including WIPs, concept art and sketches, check out [link] !

Wow, this is really different! I love how painted the lines look- very mature, and one of my favorite techniques to see. I liked the (relatively) reduced texture and detail- appealing and clear.

they're not a couple in the comic.. just friends.
but all the same, the show is absolutely not historically accurate, i'm pretty sure they don't portray him as gay in the show.

Have you ever thought of doing graphic novels? Your art seems to scream it and I easily confused this submission as one page.

it seems awesome to do, although i'd want to approach it in a totally different style than the one pictured above :] i'm gonna add some breaks between each illustration to make it clearer that they are separate chunks of the story!

Lois, your work on pin-up is, simply, gorgeous!
But your narrative and your moving scenes are very weak!
I don't know how much you want to delve into this kind of work, but if you want to continue, take a look at the work of Will Eisner, Greg Capullo and Jeff Smith.

thanks for the feedback! i'm not exactly interested in drawing pin-ups only for the rest of my life, but the above work represents a commercial job where i had to deal with a one-day-per-illustration deadline and keep to a specific style/look. the target audience was young children and it was intended for a click-through-comic in a low-resolution flash game. athough the people you link are very talented, their styles or approach to narrative do not match up in any way with what my client was looking for! if i were approached, or decided on my own, to make a more mature and detailed black and white comic i would approach the artwork very differently. hope you understand, and i'll keep them in mind for the future.
