Download PDF for pattern.Okay first of all, I don't exactly "recommend" this project. It's a really cool outcome, but all of the color switching kind of made me want to burn the whole thing to be done with it. But if you've got a lot of time and yarn that you don't want to have anymore, the PDF has the grid that I used as a pattern for the blanket.
I used a double crochet stitch and two stitches per block to make it 160st wide and 80 dc tall.
Also, I can't emphasize enough: SO MANY TIE-OFFS FOR COLOR CHANGING. Please do not blame me for loss of sanity due to this project.

charizard one of my fiances favorite pokemon characters.. i would love to make this for him. i too hate chaging colors.. but thats the only way you can get patterns like this.. gonna be making this as soon as i get all the right colors for it

I know what you mean about the color changing now- I've made an awesomely insane nyan cat scarf, with all the colors of the original animation...
