Vitani had just finished working out with her brother Kovu on a calm, beautiful evening. She triumphed, of course. He has always been a little weaker than Vitani, which helped her feel confident in her abilities. This pleased her mother as well.

Her mother then instructed her to accompany her. Zira remained silent the entire stroll. Naturally, Vitani was also anxious about her mother's intentions and the place she was taking her.

They were in a remote area outside the outlands, surrounded by big trees and lush, thick grass. Vitani took a seat in front of Zira as she took a seat.

The little cub was astonished by what her mother did next.

She tenderly nuzzled her and kissed the top of her head. Although it was unexpected, Vitani was used to this kind of behavior; her mother had her good and bad days. In those good days, Vitani felt euphoric and immensely pleased, and she thought she was in a fantasy world.

“You are a precious flower my little ‘Tani.” Zira spoke.

Vitani lowered her ears and gratefully received her mother's affection and praise. The mother and daughter sat in silence watching the sun set as zira licked her cub free of the dirt that had accumulated on her fur, something that she hardly ever does.

Just something simple and cute cause not a lot of people draw these two in a happy setting. Zira wasn’t always a harsh and crazed tyrant mother. She cared dearly for her cubs and pride and revengers and anger just consumed her year after year.
