Description
Once more into the Great Mouse Detective Fandom... I decided to revamp/redesign Knox and lean into her being a gerbil since that part of her was always one of my favorite things to help make her her own character.

Name: Gwendolen Evans Knox
Nicknames or Known Aliases: She prefers to be just referred too as Evans or Knox. She uses the last name "Dunn" or "Donn" for when she has to maintain a public image or when she and other members of her family have to lay low, varying what first names she uses, though she has a preferences to "Eleanor" and "Ethel". She once used the name Frederick Knox to pass herself off as a boy when younger. Her father calls her "Gwennie."
    -Meaning of names - Knox is a surname Scottish in origin and means "a hillock or a hump"
                                    - Gwendolen is Welsh name in origin and means "white ring, circle"
                                    - Evans is also Welsh in origin and means "son of Evan" and comes from her mother's maiden name.

    -Body Shape: Rather rectangle, with the middle slightly squished in. Think of like a tall milk cartoon that's bent in the middle.
    -Voice: When compared to other female residents of Mousedom, Knox's voice sounds quite raspy. Her natural voice has her with an accent that sounds to be a mix of Scottish and Cockney due to most of her childhood having been raised in the East End. However, she is capable of sounding mostly well-spoken with a more Scottish sounding accent when the situation calls for it.
    -Eye color: Green
    -Hair Color: Mousy Brown hair. Her fur color is just a few shades lighter.
    -Hair Style: Thick, wavy shoulder length.
    -Key Features: Her dark ear markings.
    -Preferred fashion/clothing: Due to mostly growing up surrounded by brothers and mostly raised by her father until her very late teens, Knox heavily prefers wearing men clothing, often a brown vest and dark pants with a favored green bandanna tied around her neck. She mostly wears this when at home or doing business in the family's work. For appearances sake or when she has to lay low, she does wear dresses, preferring blues and greens, and has a necklace with a very light amethyst that she prizes. She constantly wears pants under any dresses or skirts she has to wear.

There's a constant method in her approach to things and when things do go as normal or well, she gets quite paranoid for a decent amount of time. She's quite protective of her family and is very much a daddy's girl. Knox places her own crew second to her family and always makes sure to look out for them. She doesn't seem to really care much about her position in society as a woman, but she is aware of it and makes hard attempts to seem "proper" in society eyes...

Bio:
  Childhood from birth to the age of 12: The youngest child born in the East End of London to Scottish smuggler Lachlan Knox and Nelly nee Evans, Gwendolen grew up with three older rowdy brothers. The East End of London was known for a reputation for crime and poverty of the time. Lachlan had little qualms about raising his daughter the same as his sons to help them survive in such a neighborhood and Nelly barely knew how to raise three rowdy sons, nevertheless a new, equally rowdy daughter. With Lachlan's small smuggling business seeming to remain steady, the family seemed to have an otherwise normal life until Gwendolen was around seven, when Nelly is attacked and killed by a rival gang with Gwendolen is barely able to hide and escape. While Lachlan gets revenge, Gwendolen refuses to be called by her full first name. Several safe-houses are set up by Lachlan's gang both for his children's safety and the growth of his gang from his revenge run. Around the age of eleven, Lachlan marries widow Grella nee Smith Wright, bringing in her son James and daughter Bertha.
  Describe their teenage years from 13 – 20: Grella struggles to try and bring Gwendolen up as a proper lady with the help of Bertha with little success. Around age of thirteen, Grella becomes sick and succumbs to consumption. Gwendolen begins to work in the growing family business at around fifteen, a year later Lachlan begins courting and later marrying another widow named Madeline Whiskers, who in turn brings in her own sons John and Gregory. Gwendolen seeks further, higher education. Attends college under the alias Frederick Knox and begins a rivalry with some of her fellow classmates, Basil, Riverfield, Shaw, and Bennett.
  Adult years upward from the age of 20: Receives education, and requests further teaching from her former professor Ratigan as he begins to build his criminal empire. Later focuses on family business as its operations expands, with not much really notable aside from the gang's important interactions with other gangs, building up a decent network of security method of 'if we go down, you go down' until James Wright decides to get cocky and try and leek information about the gangs to the police in exchange for a lighter sentence or pardon of the crimes for himself. This caused quite a huge strain in the family and gangs as James is all but disowned by the family and Basil of Baker Street proceeds to break down on several circles of theirs, including Ratigan's Tower Bridge Job.
The events of 1897 had Gwendolen helping in making sure that the interconnected criminal family doesn't loose its head as Ratigan's dragged out of the river and stays on the low as the Napoleon of Crime heals from intense injures.
