My two favourite mooks from Megaman X7! Someday I hope we find out more of their story. Maybe they will get a card in the Teppen mobile game

I always thought Ceder was the one with the cane, suitcase, and cigar. The "Golden Days" Translation from the Rockman X7 Soundtrack said the following
"An image of the targeted repliroid showed up on the console. A cigar like-thing sticking out of his ugly mouth, one could say without any doubt that he was no good. Once you saw his face…you could never forget it. It was the Irregular ‘Cedar’, the one who had gotten away earlier. Axl then realized that they had decided to let him go that first time, so that they could see what he was going to do next."
For some reason all the artwork I see has their names reversed...am I missing something?

See, that's what drives me nuts about this.
In the english (which despite my love for X7 I must admit has subpar voices and direction at times), it CLEARLY sounds like the fake one calls the one with the cane Aluce.
As in, the way the voice delivery sounds, it is like he is saying "Aluce, it's me!"
But in the Japanese version it sounds the opposite, like the fake is saying "It's me, the one called Aluce!"
Combine this with the fact that the one with the cane had a "cigar like-thing" and the man Axl was impersonating did not...
On the OTHER hand...it makes no sense for the one who always had the suitcase to open it in awe like its the first time he's seen it if he always had it and he was the one Red Alert was chasing over....so maybe the one with the cane is Aluce...

I'M WAITING FOR CEDAR TO GET AN ACTUAL ONE- So far he only has a partial appearance on Axl's "A-Trans" card

That made me so happy when I saw it though!! I hope he gets a full card soon- even if he and Aluce are just featured on an action card I'd be pleased!

You drew them well! I wish there was more story behind these two. On a side note, I wonder if Aluce is related to Spark Mandrill or if their design similarities are a coincidence.

I feel like expanding more on the Reploid Mafia type deal they were going for would've made a kickass story.
A lot of the X7 designs seem similar to each other and to other designs from the series. Red and Cedar have similar head accessories, Aluce and Stonekong share some design elements too. Although, if you start comparing a lot of character designs through the whole series, you can really pick out a lot of similarities!
