Correction, your not fond of "american" German Shepards, american bred short hair german shepard well they often have short and stalky fur, now german bred shepards, their just in a class of there own. Now Bender well, he was a 5,000 dollar dog (and that was with a discount because I've worked with the owner before) He came directly from Germany, his dad was won the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship, his mother also had a large show record. My camera doesn't do him justice, he has turned into by far the most beautiful shepard I have ever seen and I've owned shepards since I was a very little girl. I hope I don't sound like I'm bragging, I am just taken by him. Thank you for the wonderful complement.

Lolz, yes! Very much agreed, american breeders seem to take too much of the real beauty out of the breed and make them into skinny little low backed shepherds The german breeders are amazing! I love the working lines
Woow, 5000! Thatd be about 8000 australian.. thats amazing! I have a purebred longhaired shepherd, he has pretty good show line parents with some german imported shepherds in his pedigree.. but he was only $950.. he was less than his littermates cause he was a longhaired
By all means, talk about your shepherd! He's gorgeous and deserves to be bragged about! Could you possibly upload some more pictures?

Oh god do I hate how the american breds backs have are slanted. I find the Longhairs are usually cheap because their hard to keep inside. My last big male was a longhair and I bet I still have some of his fur around (and he passed 3 years ago) I suppose I don't really have a preference I tend to go for which dog attracts my attention when looking at litters.

And here in Aus, you cannot show them.. nor breed them.. their considered a default in the breed.... damn show people....
Oooh yes, the hair gets everywhere! But both my dogs sleep inside, and in my room Theyre such sooks if I 'lock them out'..
We were looking for a longhaired, and we liked my puppys father.. he's gorrrrgeous! So it worked out well that the longhaired puppy really liked us when we saw the litter

Well my house is a animal cesspool, between my evil ferret, my shepards, random cats that seem to think this is their home, and there's hannah..who I know...I know she should be in the house, I don't let any other of my horses in the house, but hannah...well shes sorta special.
