Description
This is a portrait I shot of our friend Carmel while she was visting Houston. Apnea did the hair, makeup, and wardrobe styling.Since a few people have asked recently I'd like to remind you guys that I'm available for headshots/portraits and my rates start at $300.

This is an absolutely brilliant photo. I was browsing your gallery and, while all of your photography is incredible, this caught my eye and wouldn't let go. The colors are striking, the lines graceful, the contrast between her skin and everything else makes her absolutely fly out of the page, and her eyes look like they're staring into your heart and soul.
My only critique is that the postwork looks a bit overdone. Her hair has lost a bit of detail due to oversaturation, the darkened bits of her hair around the edges look unnatural, and her skin is a tad too smooth (for my taste). It's probably the result of a curves adjustment that was too vertical in the midtone/reds, and too horizontal in the lower values.
Hopefully I don't sound like I'm trying to talk down to you, because that would be like houses lecturing the Empire State Building on how to be imposing. This is a beauitful photo of a beautiful model (with beautiful eyebrows). Photos like this are things that most of the world can only dream of capturing.

I was going to go on about the hair and her eyes and.. well honestly i have no words. This is an image I could never stop talking about at the same time never be able to find the right words. I adore it! You and apnea are amazing and Carmel looks stunningly unmeasurably (I know that's not a word) beautiful. <3

costume kinda reminds me of a traditional indian dress? the hair reminds me of "samurai pizza cats" hehe overall a great colourful design

This is fantastic! I LOVE her hair... maybe because I love orange... so warm colours instantly draws me... the tad overexposure on her skin really makes everything stand out well... and I love the flashes reflecting in her eyes... you are SUCH an inspiration!

The color here just smacks you in the face. I love it. Her eyes just glow, and I love the slight shimmer of her lips. It's perfect makeup, as there is a softness here that would have been lost with a more heavy-handed makeup job. Really great portrait.
